Dr.Cassandra Manuel, DVM

Dr. Cassandra Manuel is originally from North Carolina and attended North Carolina State University where she first started volunteering for animal causes.  During undergrad and veterinary school, she first began participating in feral cat trap-neuter-release programs, and she also volunteered with World Vets in Honduras, providing much needed veterinary care and spay/neuter surgeries to the community.  Dr. Manuel moved to the Big Bend in 2011, and began volunteering for the TNR program based in Monticello and for the Jefferson County Humane Society.  Since beginning working at Shepherd Spring Animal Hospital in Crawfordville in 2016, she is excited to be able to volunteer with PAWS and to participate in their TNR events in an effort to give back to the community. Dr.
Manuel has four furbabies that inspire her everyday: one dog Goose, and three cats Finn, Margot, and Scully.
